History

Founded by Dr Abou El Khair in 1983, The Kimidar Group was seen as something of a pioneer in the field of Egyptian tourism at that time. Since that original investment of faith over 27 years ago, Kimidar has continuously strived to develop and improve; going on to create an illustrious history, and become one of the largest tourism companies in the country. The Kimidar mission has always been a straightforward one: to provide the best quality services for a diverse selection of customers all over Egypt, whilst also playing a strong role in the country’s development process.

Today

Still very much an El Khair family company, Kimidar now employs over 2,300 professionals, has nine branches across Egypt, boasts an enviable portfolio of four and five star hotels and resorts, and holds a hard-earned reputation for high-quality and exemplary customer satisfaction; resulting in the trust of its customers on both a personal and business level.

Tomorrow

The momentum built up over the past 27 years shows no sign of halting in the future – upcoming projects include:

Renewal and completion of the New El Mass Palace to reach 320 rooms (7 stars), with designs handled by DSA - who executed the largest projects in Dubai and internationally. This hotel will be managed by an international hotel chain company.

Re-design of the Akacia Mall for additional space for retailers, with the addition of some tourist attractions such as restaurants, cafes and brand bazaars.

General renovation of all Golden 5 hotels to cater for current international requirements. This is achieved through various international specialists, with all the properties to be managed by different international hotel chains.

Begun the execution of a new project in the Red Sea (Alahyaa land) – utilising 50,000 sqm of sea front land for a residential and tourist project.

Agriculture projects: Kimidar group own 2 farms on Alex Desert road, at 250,000 acres each; producing organic fruit and vegetables for hotels.

This is in addition to another farm in Luxor with 3200 acres designed for exporting fruit to Europe.

Development of the elegant new Golden Park Resort in Hurghada

A new 790,000 sqm project in Kalista on the North Coast, with residential and tourism facilities – designs have been approved, and construction begins in mid-2010

The creation of a new 7500 sqm commercial mall, with 18000m of retailer space – under construction and ready to open by mid-2011.
